Lidl is expanding across the West of England and is keen to deliver a new foodstore to serve Braunton and the surrounding areas. This site, adjacent to the A361 (Exeter Road) between Wrafton and Chivenor, would be an ideal location for local residents who may currently travel out of the area for their regular shopping.

The existing car park would be relocated within the site to provide a revised 35 space long-stay car park. Pedestrian access would be included to the nearby bus stop to encourage sustainable travel to and from Braunton. This would be owned and managed by the Local Authority
A new landscaping scheme will propose planting on the boundaries to enhance the site
Around 40 jobs for local people, including full and part-time roles. Lidl GB pay rates for hourly-paid colleagues is a minimum of £13 per hour, increasing to £13.95 with length of service
